Project metrics are important in project management because it enables the Project Manager to effectively monitor and analyze the progress and performance of the project. They provide a detailed view of each phase of the project and identify areas where there may be issues and where improvements can be made.

Metrics are used to measure the various aspects of a project, such as its timeline, budget, and quality. By tracking these metrics, the Project Manager can determine whether the project is on track to meet its goals and whether any adjustments need to be made to ensure success. For example, the Project Manager may use metrics to measure the time it takes for a task to be completed, the cost of a particular activity, or the quality of the work produced. By analyzing this data, the Project Manager can identify areas with delays, inefficiencies, or quality issues and take appropriate action to address them.

  • Collecting and presenting quality measurements ensures that a project progresses as planned.
